Samsung Galaxy S6 review

It is crystal clear that apple has really set a high track for other mobile phone companies to race on. With the launch of the hi-tech iPhone 6, other companies must have really been worried about how to best compete this company. However, it is also kind to note that Samsung has always worked round the clock to keep up with these standards, and in some more cases it has outdone such companies as Apple by its new inventories. It is clear that every phone lover in the world is actually saving for the Samsung Galaxy S6. Its launch is very much awaited and therefore it is expected to have very huge sales. Though its launching date has not been made official, I have decided to write a review about the Samsung Galaxy S6 features, specs as well as other Samsung new features.

First, expect a smartphone that runs on android lollipop OS. Leaked images indicate that this operating system appears very beautifully with Samsung devices. Another new Samsung feature that will be found in this phone is the curved edges display. This curves are on both sides in favor of both the right handed and left handed people. This curved edges will be used for displaying notifications such as weather notifications, news, financial information and night clock. The Samsung Galaxy S6 variant that is expected to have this curved edges will be called Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. This can be said to be an improvement of what was in the Note Edge, a one-side curved phone. More features include glance lighting and color-coded favorite contacts.

Another Samsung galaxy S6 variant is expected to have a unibody metallic casing. This has never been used in any previous phones because most of them had plastic cases, or partial metallic casings. Leaked images on the internet confirm that these casings will cover the whole phone. This will actually be a huge step made by Samsung.

In this phone, this company is also going to introduce the best display ever used in its smartphones. It will have a 2560×1440 Quad HD display. This will be a big step ahead when compared to the previous 1920×1080 display used in the Samsung Galaxy S5. With many other features introduced into Samsung smartphones, this company is expected to perform very well at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) this year. Android lollipop 5.0 features

Android is practically a big name in the world of smartphones. The announcement of the latest Android operating system, the Android Lollipop 5.0 was actually one of the best thing that hit the ears of android smartphone users especially for latest phones in the market. It has practically become one of the features that every android user will want to look for in there next smartphones. The Android Lollipop operating system comes packed with lots of wonderful features that are aimed at taking your mobile phone experience to another level, a higher level for that matter. This great features are either an upgrade of those found in the previous operating system versions or they are new features in the market. Funny enough, this OS is currently allowed to run on high end smartphones like the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. What are some of these features?

Material design

The material design found in Android Lollipop actually give this series of Operating Systems a whole new user interface. This change has been applied on the appearance of menu icons, task panes as well as the lock screen. Display clarity and transparency has also been highly advanced. The priority mode gives users control over different operation modes of your phone. It also allows you to select which applications to run, and you can also opt to lock other applications for a certain customizable period of time, after which the applications will start to run again. Users can also mute alarms and notifications especially while in meetings.

Guest mode

With this mode, you can login to your phone and set administrative rules as is the case with computers. This means other users can login as guests, therefore they will have a limited access to some of your applications, files or folders. This feature gives full security to your personal information. Its unique screen lock works very well with screen lock options, such that you can reply to a text without the need to unlock your screen. The face unlock feature makes use of your face to unlock your phone. This is practically one of the best features among the latest phones.

Tap-and-go

This feature is very useful especially in cases where you want to switch to another device. You don’t need anything beyond a Bluetooth or NFC connection to transfer personal information to your new device. The multitasking pane in Android Lollipop 5.0 enables users to see recent applications and get an overview of all the running applications. With the ambient display, you don’t need to activate the display in order to see the notifications.

Double-tap unlock

With this android 5.0 features borrowed from Motorola, you only need to tap your screen twice to unlock it. This is actually a new feature that is only found in devices running on Android 5.0 lollipop.

Other features of the latest android OS include a very improved GPS tracking, battery status and display lighting. Also, read about the Android Silver OS here.

The Android Silver Smartphones

Are you aware that the whole range of the highly respected Google Nexus phones are yet to be replaced by the Android Silver smartphones? The Name android Silver is used to refer to a combination of software and hardware specifications set by Google in such a way that the latest phones which will meet the minimum requirement of these specifications will be called android silver electronic devices. The so called Silver standards are therefore what will decide the price at which these devices will be sold.

With the presence of a premium hardware, these phones are expected to be a seal of quality. These specifications also call for a phone with high built quality as well as a more unified user interface. These phones will also receive frequent and more stable OTA updates for the operating system. Also, expect to find more non-google applications preinstalled in the devices. Previously, Google was working with exactly one phone manufacturer per year per device, i.e. one small tablet, a larger tablet and one phone. However, with Android Silver smartphones, any manufacturer that will be ready to come up with devices which meet all the minimum requirements and features of Android Silver devices will be absorbed. This is a clear indication that a wide range of Silver devices will be available in the market each year. A wide choice automatically translates to affordable prices at which these latest phones will be sold.

The companies that have been rumored to be working on together with the android silver smartphone project are LG and Motorola. This makes much sense to anyone who is up-to-date with smartphone companies as you must have heard of the strong tie between these two companies and Google. LG is expected to roll out one of the latest phones that will run on Android Silver operating System. The device’ processor is expected to be a Qualcomm MSM8994 engine, a 64-bit snapdragon 810. This phone is expected to roll out very soon so watch out on this site for the date of release. It has also been reported that Motorola Shamu is likely to be the name of the first Motorola phone running on Android Silver operating system. Its features will set high standards to be met by the next smartphone in this series. Expect a 2k display, QUALCOMM processor, 13mp rear camera and 2mp front camera, and a 420 Adreno GPU.

It is, however, safe to expect another a final brand of the Nexus devices since there has not been any official announcement by google concerning the Android Silver Smartphones. Also, read about Samsung Galaxy S6 specifications and Review here.
